Have you ever wondered what CranioSacral therapy was? Would you like to learn to feel the CranioSacral Rhythm? Would having a couple more self-help tools fit in your self-care kit? If so, this in-person class might be a great fit. This class is designed with all the CST basics for the layperson.
One of the goals of the Upledger Institute is to teach people that they play the most active role in their own health. ShareCare workshops were designed by Dr. John E. Upledger specifically for persons with no prior knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Dr. Upledger is the osteopathic physician who led the research team to establish the scientific basis for a craniosacral system. He has shown how the system could be used to evaluate and treat misunderstood malfunctions involving the brain, spinal cord, and a myriad of other health problems, such as chronic pain, lowered vitality, recurring infections, etc.
If so, please plan to join Meghan McGrath & DeAnna Castleberry at the upcoming CST2 hard palate mouth work review where we will spend the day reviewing the facial and hard palate bones as well as the CST techniques to address restrictions and dysfunctions here. With the entire study group day focused on this portion, we hope to bring clarity and confidence to your hands as well as your understanding. We will plan another full day study group to cover the rest of CS2 (sphenoid and whole-body evaluation) in the future.
I am a technique certified CranioSacral Therapist looking for Upledger CranioSacral Therapy (CST) practitioners who want to review, deepen and practice applying the wonders of this work in a small study group setting located within the triangulated city hospitals of UC Davis, Sutter Hospital and Dignity Health.
In 1996, I attended my first CranioSacral Therapy workshop and afterward struggled because I couldn’t feel the craniosacral rhythm. Frustrated, I put the work aside to study other modalities until a local practitioner decided to hold regular study groups. It is through attending these study groups, receiving regular private CST sessions, taking a minimum of one workshop per year, becoming a teaching assistant, and getting technique certified that I have a successful CranioSacral Therapy practice today.
